The North Norfolk coast has an abundance of superb tourist attractions and places of special interest to ensure that there is never a dull moment!

It is perfect for days on the beach, cycling, walking, horse riding, bird watching, watersports or simply……. relaxing. The coastal and inland villages, with their spectacular churches, specialist shops, delicatessens offering local produce and art and craft galleries all offer their own unique kind of holiday or short break all year round. In addition - stately homes, ornamental gardens, nature reserves, museums and family attractions ensure there is something for all ages and interests.

You will find various suggestions below to ensure you get the most from your stay at Britannia Cottage but do get in touch with Jane on bookingsbritannia@gmail.com or 07880 993730 if you have any more queries or want some local advice ahead of or during your stay.

Doggie heaven!

We are both dog lovers and the Norfolk Coast lends itself to wonderful beach walks and fun in the dunes whether you are 2 or 4 legged! Certain beaches will not permit dogs during the season April-Sept so please check local signs. Also many of the beaches are also nesting sites for sea birds so please take note of signs and keep your dog aways from those areas.

That said – it is doggy bliss here in Norfolk with wonderful walks in woodland and coastal. Near Britannia Cottage there is a footpath (see map in the Welcome folder) which takes you to the beach. Also Ringstead Downs is a 5 minute drive away with good FREE parking and perfect for dog walking – and sheltered on windy days too.
