Pensthorpe is located near Fakenham – only 30 mins drive from Britannia Cottage and is a wonderful, action-packed day out and discovery destination for the whole family. Explore magical gardens, take a trail through the internationally recognised awards and get up close with feathered friends. Little visitors can also try the indoor and outdoor play areas.

The Woodland play area at Holkham is well worth a visit with treehouses, bridges and climbing frames – and a toddlers’ sand pit too.

Bircham Windmill – This mill is the only working windmill in the area and a rare find. You can climb to the top and, when possible, on windy days, see the mill in aciton. There’s a café and bakery where they bake their own bread or you can join in one the of their popular ‘Make & Bake’ sessions.
